Some Things that You should Never Do on Your Android Smartphone. If you have bought a new smartphone or you are already using a smartphone, if you want to know how to keep your smartphone in good condition then this is the right place. If you were following all the points in the list given below, its well and good and you need not worry about your smartphone condition. But, there maybe at least one or two points that you might be doing it in the wrong way. Let's find out.
Some Things that You should Never Do on Your Android Smartphone
Downloading Apps from Unknown Sources
You have bought a new phone and you want the best apps available including the paid ones. Search in the play store rather than going to your computer and spending hours searching in google, to find the right app you want. Google has no control over such apps that you have downloaded. This might bring you in troubles. It can hack into your smartphone and get all your personal details like your phone number, address. Much worse case is, if you have setup payment details in that app, there is a possibility that your bank account might get hacked.
Playstore is very big. There are more than 2 Million apps. Just download from that. If you want a paid app, just pay the money and get the app. It is much better than downloading the same app from an unknown source. These apps will not contain the same code that will be present in the original app. The developer of that app can easily monitor you and this is not good.
Stop Killing the Recent Apps
I have seen many people doing this. After they are done with their work, they just get busy clearing their recent apps that will be running in the background. They think that this will clear the ram space and thus their smartphone will become faster. NOPE. It doesn't make your phone any smartphone. In fact it harms your phone. When you kill a app from the memory, all the things that were loaded to run the app, when you first opened the app, will be lost. So when you open the same app again, your processor will be under load and to power the processor, your battery will also be under load. Your android is smart enough to clear the apps running in the background by itself. If it detects that an applications requires more memory, then it automatically clears them for you.
Antivirus Software
These softwares do no good for your smartphones. They just occupy storage space and it promise you that it will clean all the junk, memory and much more. Don't fall for it. Android is smart enough to do all these by itself. It will clear any junk, memory for you. Some people think that it will improve the security of your phone. On computers, it is necessary but no mobiles, it is better to stay away from them. Most of the free anti virus apps will have ads in them. You have often that these apps interfere your work flow. When you are working on something important, and a dialogue box appears telling that your phone is not secure. How annoying it can be! If you have a anti virus installed on your phone just go and uninstall it.
Battery Savers
Everyone wants their battery to last all day. So what a person generally does is that they install some battery savers, thinking that it will save their battery. This will harm your phone badly. Battery savers just reduces your phone's power consumption. It also kills apps for you. Do you remember what killing an app will cause? You will think that the app does all the work for me and saves battery from draining. You will observe that it works for some days and then it just stops working. Rather than downloading these apps just use the in-built battery saver that your Android provides. It's much better.
Stop Installing Fake Apps
Please stop installing the apps that promises to bring a feature into your phone that your smartphone doesn't have. Like a X-ray scanner app. You know that these apps don't work. But still, you will install them and then delete it. These apps will be filled with ads and they just show up all the time, thus ruining your smartphone. And these apps tend to be running in the background all the time. Killing this app will also not work.
Clearing Cache Memory
Please stop installing any cleaner apps like Clean Master. I have used this app earlier and to be honest it just made my smartphone worse. After you close any app it will ask you to clean the memory or it also says that the app has left some junk so clean it. Before you do any of these actions, just think about your phone once.
Using Fake Messengers
These apps are not developed by a trusted source. Often they are developed by a third party developer. And you never know what kind of code that he has used. The developer can easily hack into your account from which you are sending messages to others and then after getting all the details he can simply kick you out of the app. Or just imaging if the app was developed by an hacker. Please stop these.
Rooting
Please do not root your phone if you domino know how to do it properly. There many videos on Youtube that will show how to root your smartphone. Just look for a good video with more views and just scroll through the comments. People would have commented whether the root worked or not and their opinions.
App Permissions
Let's say you downloaded an app to enhance your camera experience. When you install them and open it, it will ask you to give certain permissions to it. For example, it will ask you for giving access to your camera like that. Don't just like "Allow" without reading what permissions it is asking for. Like it might ask access to your location services or your contacts and much more. Don't you feel insecure using such apps.
Just think over all these tips. If you feel that your smartphone runs good with all these harmful apps, you can use them. But if you feel that it will cause harm to your device, please stop using them.
That's been it. Thanks for reading. Talk to you guys in the next one.
